SOUNDSYSTEM

Psychedelic Floor Sound System:

The quality of the sound system is most important to us, that's why we take any effort to maximise it every year... Since 1994 PAM from Berlin is maintaining the system on the main floor and this year they did their best job ever. The crystal clear sound was the best we ever heard - VooV Experience is one of the rare festivals were you can enjoy a turbo surround system...

Basic Approach
 The design incorporates four main towers and 16 more positions in a ground-support with 23m diameter, pointing in- and outwards. In every listener position, at least 3 sources if not more can be heard. The main goal of the system was to create a virtual room with a lot of sources instead of maximum level. Major keys to success are a minimum height of 4m for any mid/high drivers and a 5-way active system plus additional motor-driven loudspeakers for frequencies below 50Hz.

Equipment:
A Martin F2 System, rounded off by 8 x Servodrive Subs was used.
The system has a total power of approximately 90kW.
The following components were used:
28 x F2Top (12"/2"/Tweeter Array)
40 x F2B (2 x 15" hornloaded with extremely high sensitivity)
24 x FSX (2 x 18" direct)
8 x Intersonics Servodrive BT7
All components were driven by LAB Gruppen amps.

Processing
This year, the system was rounded off by changing from conventional analog processing to GAE's DSC28 processor incorporating FIR-filters for linear phase filtering. For this purpose, the system was before measured in reflection-free environment at the TU Berlin by Anselm Goertz who developed the controller. Filter and Limiter design in the GAE processor allowed safer operation at higher levels than before.
Personnel
The system was designed by Jakob Kraft first in 1995 and further developed over the years until today. Equipment and service was once again provided by PAM events, also from Berlin. The main crew this year was Ralf Metzler (Head of Sound), Timo Gesch, Holger Kniggendorf (sound technician), Georg Spickermann (Rigging/groundsupport). Progressive Floor Sound System
Since 2001 TOTEC from Hamburg runs the sound at the Progressive Floor and they impressed us all with their brilliant, massive sound system. www.totec.de

Chill Out Floor
This year the Chill Out Circus Tent sound system was provided and operated by Totec. Various components created a delicately balanced, pleasing sound quality throughout the whole Chill Out Area.

VISUALS

This year on the Main Floor we enjoyed the fantastic laser show done by Olaf, Jörg and Dieter for the third time . It was even more impressive than last years setup: it is impossible to describe with words the new, fascinating spaces, these sensitive wizards created... if you have danced in these worlds, you know what we mean!

The visuals at the Alternative Floor were mixed live by Arne/ Fireforce. His innovative and fresh style is very unique, delicately harmonized to the sound its the perfect optical completion!

Dorian from Masterdamus, the top VJ team from Australia, revealed a magnificent set which demonstrated that they are world class. His
performance was outstanding!!!

Frank/ Clix adorned all three floors with dozens of light catching metal spirales to create the most amazing light effects.

Finn from Xenon indulged us with the finest light effects to be seen...

DECO ARTISTS

At VooV-Experience 2005 the whole management and organisation was done by Amrisha. The Main Floor was decorated by Jason and Tribe of Frog from U.K. with their mind blowing inflatable objects.

The amazing backdrops and the 3D stage design were done by Philip Nagual Creations from U.K./ Spain, one of the top artists in psychedelic UV art.

Jelena and Erzemek installed a breathtaking string object close to the main dance floor.

Jamin nowadays based in Sweden brought shade and colour to the Alternative Floor, complemented by new, mystical backdrops from Swedish artist NOS.

Babsi and Klaus contributed the outstanding string art objects.

The fluorescent landscape wall from Christian Paradise No.9 and his friends was set up for another time. Till did the stage design this year at the Alternative Floor.

At the Chill Out tent we all enjoyed a delightful mix of decoration organized by Nico. Part of his team were Jense, Michele, Paddy and Sossi. Some psychedelic backdrops were contributed by Amrisha.

Margit again delighted everybody with giant soap bubbles... All bars were beautified by Krusen from Schwarzlichtkinder.

PERFORMANCE ARTISTS

Performances, talented artists in fairytale like costumes were always an essential part of the VooV Experience festival.

At VooV-Experience 2005, we were delighted to see another incredible fire show by Champ Fire Art, who is part of the festival almost since the very beginning.

The performers involved in the festival were guided by Dudy who, being a performer and promoter himself is the perfect person for this job.

Zoltan came from Ibiza to blow our minds with his energetic stilt performance in his golden dragon and his new phoenix costumes.

Phil from Camouflage Road Show did also a magic, professional stilt- and costume-show dressed up as spider like creature.

Marcus and Michi from Austria / Ibiza did a most amazing fire show - Light Warriors.

Daphne and Sternenkinder from Munich performed as butterflies on stilts in costumes taken from fairy tales.

Martie Bear the teddy bear on stilts joined us in the last minute and pleased everyone with his cute costume.

LIGHT FX

Anveshi, another long time member of the VooV Experience family, provided and installed all the light effects and mirror balls at the location together with his crew. Thanks to him the whole area was sparkling with breath taking colours during the nights.

Oriental Market

The place to get your needs, meet friends and stroll along. It offers the full range from vegetarian food to psychedelic toys. The set up is done with grate care for details and invites you to stall along, rummage and taste.
No shops without prior written consent by registration.

Tickets 2006:

Advance ticket presale on our website is already closed.
From July 1st on there will be a few presale tickets available at www.trancecard.de.

Tickets at the gates cost €45.00 plus €5.00 garbage deposit.

The ticket price includes the camping and parking fees.

There will be sufficient tickets available for everyone on arrival.

Entrance for kids under the age of 16 years (accompanied by their legal guardians) is free.

Schedule:

Main Floor: Saturday 11 p.m. till Monday 6 a.m. As always we keep it a secret who will be playing at the event until the last minute... Visit VooV Experience's previous line ups and our review section for inspiration.

Alternative Floor: Friday 10 p.m. through to Sunday 8 p.m. non-stop psychoactive audio and visual entertainment with some of the best international DJs and live-acts.

Chill Out: Friday 8 p.m. to Monday 06:00 a.m. An international line up of Djs present deliciously ambient, downbeat and psychedelic trance music in the Chill Out Circus Tent.

Oriental Market: The place to get your needs, meet friends and stroll along. It offers the full range from vegetarian food to psychedelic toys. No shops without prior written consent.

Camping Area: The camp site is open from Thursday August 10th 3:00pm until Monday August 14th 8:00pm ah ja blablabla :-) Caravans, campers and tents are welcome! There will be also a special area for tents only, for those who come by train or bus... Create your individual space for a the weekend and be part of the temporary VooV Experience village. Showers and facilities are provided...

Family Camping: We will prepare a special area for families with kids for camping.

First Aid: Will be available from Friday until Monday for your safety.

Psychedelic Welfare: eclipse's psychedelic welfare offers again the complete feel-good package of chill-out, chai, drug info, massage and in some cases - friendly company for unusual states of consciousness. Read more about eclipse.

VISITOR REVIEWS

I just wanted to say what a wicked time I had at Voov, it was my first time and I am already making plans for next year!! The lighting, soundsystem, laser show and decor was better than any club I've been to in London, or the rest of England for that matter, and it was all outdoors!!! I still can't get over the ticket price either £25! All the dance festivals in England cost like £50 and are only for 1 night and they don't even come close to Voov. Thanks again for all your hard work that went in to making this the best festival of my life :-D

I want to thank all those involved with the experience known as Voov. I am still beside myself in awe of this event. Voov Experience has been added to my vocabulary as a means to describe the undescribable. I have always heard glorious and wonderful things about Voov Experience, never did I imagine that they would be beyond all belief. I enjoyed very much meeting a lot of you face to face for the first Time. If you have not experienced Voov, do so.

I have come back from Voov Experience with a new vision and direction and have been working towards it. I was needless to say inspired by the possibilities and kindness I witnessed at Voov Experience. All of you have something very special happening that I would one day like to see happen over here (LONG ways to go still, but we are working on it). Please never take for granted the events and festivals that you have. Support them and the community. Again thank you to everyone I crossed paths with finally. My name is Jerker and I come from Sweden. I just want to tell you how much I love you and your work. The Voov Experience 2003 will stay in my heart forever. Standing at the progressive dance floor with thousands of people, and the sun shining upon us all, definitely get me into total trance. I experienced states of consciousness I never thought was possible.
This was my first Voov festival and I promise you that I'll se you again next year =) All the work, effort and atmosphere that was put into this festival almost got me in tears. You guys started a psychedelic revolution in my head! Just wanted to thank you again as I keep thinking about this great event over and over again.
